News from Japan

Thank you so much for your heartfelt concern. Your email really encourages us. We all survived though our office shook badly during the earthquake and transportation systems and phone line are still destroyed in Tokyo. Again, I should like to thank you for your thoughtful mind.

I just want to express my gratitude to you. My hometown is located in northeast Japan, and is the area caused intolerable damage by the earthquake. Though I’d not been contacted with my parents for hours and spent two restless nights, yesterday we could get in touch with and it proved out that my relatives were all fine. I was really heartened by the warm wishes received from my friends, including you. Thank you very much from my heart.

Dear Michele, Thank you for your email. As you know, I am in SF after a meeting with one of your company. I confirmed safety of our BD&L colleagues and my family. But ground transportation in Tokyo is disastrous. I hope everyone is safe.

Thank you for your kind e-mail. While the neighborhood of my town including my home was fairly damaged by the earthquake, my family, myself and my company staff are all right and Tokyo is getting back to normal

Thank you very much for your kind consideration. It was when my colleagues and I had a teleconference connecting with our Osaka head office. Our office had no constructional damage, but due to shut down of public transportation, some colleagues needed to stay in the office throughout the night.

I was needed to walk to my apartment from Nihon bashi to Shinzuku area for 1.5 hour. It was a very dramatic image, so many people walked to their home on the street.

My wife had no trouble, but broken dishes and plates were spread out on the floor of the kitchen of my apartment.

Mobile phone did not work and what my wife most worried was the hospital where my daughter is working now located close to seashore in Chiba prefecture expected to be attacked by 10m high of tsunami. It was announced that more than 10 people died by tsunami in the city, but it was happy the hospital and my daughter was safe.

Today, our office is practically closed. But from tomorrow, I hope it recovers to be normal.

Thank you for your warm e-mail and thoughts. Fortunately, we, MTPC’s team, are safe and good. This earthquake and Tsunami is real disaster. We have to work hard and recover from this difficulty. Last but not least, we would highly appreciate aid from the world.
